TEDx Skyline University College Highlights – the Trends Shaping the Future

A crowd of over 100 engaged Skyline community members came together recently to celebrate the sharing of ideas at the first TEDxSkylineUniversityCollege. Focusing on the theme “Shaping the Future,” the speakers discussed trends and innovations that are changing the course of the future.

The first speaker H.E. Rashid Alleem, founder and CEO of Alleem Knowledge Center and the Chairman of Sharjah Electricity & Water Authority, emphasized the value of focus and happiness in navigating the future. H.E. Hussain Mohammed Al Mahmoudi, the CEO of the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP) introduced the technology and innovations in the UAE that are changing the industry. Speaker H.E Sara Al Madani, a serial entrepreneur, focused on the importance of company culture in the pursuit of entrepreneurial success on her talk. Mr Derrick Lynton Best, Radio Producer, and Social Media Influencer talked about the types of parenting and how they shape the future generations; Dr Sana Sajan, Director of Danube Welfare Center, discussed how happiness is determined by genes; and Mr Mohamed Amine Belarbi, Co-founder & CEO of VUL9 Security Solutions and Co-Founder and COO of RealEDU, talked about the inevitability of the merging of technology and humans, creating Human 2.0.
