Dubai Judicial Institute provides Ambassador Programme training course for international students

DUBAI – Dubai Judicial Institute, DJI, the governmental entity that provides legal and judicial training in accordance with Dubai Government directives, has strengthened its Ambassador Programme, “Safeer”, by providing a training course for international students in collaboration with SP Jain School of Global Management. The day-long course was delivered by lecturer Mohammed Al Yafei, Project Manager of the Ambassador Programme and Legal Researcher at Dubai Judicial Institute.

The course was attended by 104 MBA students from Canada, India, Korea, the Philippines, the USA and Vietnam, and provided a comprehensive overview of the UAE’s legal and judicial systems. Topics covered included the federal and local systems in the legal and judicial fields, Dubai’s free-zones and non-free zones, the procedures and requirements for establishing new business and companies in Dubai, and the operations and mandates of the Dubai Judicial Institute.

Dr. Jamal Al Sumaiti, Director-General of Dubai Judicial Institute, explained, “We launched the Ambassador Programme to offer our excellence in legal training to international students, and to give them an opportunity to visit the UAE and learn about the evolution of the country’s judicial system first hand. Our latest course was designed to give student’s specific knowledge about the UAE’s judicial system, while also enriching their understanding of the global legal sector by encouraging them to make normative comparisons between Dubai Judicial Institute and other world government departments.”
