Ajman Mobile Dental Clinic Visits a Number of Emirates and Offers Its Services to Various Segments of the Society
AU Mobile Dental Clinic has been able to serve more than 270 cases in October in several institutions in Dubai, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah.
The Mobile Clinic first trip was to the senior citizens home in the Emirate of Ajman, and provided its services to the guests of the house and to visitors as well. Services provided teeth examination and diagnosis of cases, where the number of beneficiaries were 17 cases, in addition to providing treatment for 23 people with limited incomes belonging to the RAK Police G.H.Q.
The clinic also visited Umm Al-Mu’mineen Society in Ajman. The examination was conducted to a group of members of the association. The number of beneficiaries reached 18, including 15 children and mothers who were provided with the Hamid bin Rashid Foundation. 27 workers and low-income workers were treated at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Ajman.
The clinic visited the UAE Red Crescent Center in Ajman and treated 25 cases. More than 70 cases were examined and treated at the Sudanese Club in Ajman. The visit included a therapeutic educational evening by a team of the College of Dentistry at the University. Dr. Abubakr Al-Mahdi from the Department of Oral Diseases presented an educational lecture on oral and dental health. The Department of Oral Surgery delivered a lecture on oral cancer. The team performed free oral cancer tests. A number of cases were suspected of having signs of the disease at the university clinics for further tests and treatment.
The clinic also visited the Ibrahim bin Humaid Obaidullah Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah and provided treatment to 23 workers in the hospital. The treatment was also provided to 41 cases at Al Bahri and Al Mazrouei companies in Dubai.
It is worth noting that Ajman Mobile Dental Clinic has two dental clinics equipped with the latest equipment, an X-ray machine and a sterilization device, all of which are of international standards. The Ajamani Charity Foundation funded the project in cooperation with the charity; meanwhile the manufacturer of the clinic is “Scientific Company for Industries”.
