BITS Pilani, Dubai campus invites delegates from academia and industry to be a part of two days international conference on Recent Advances in Materials & Manufacturing Technologies(IMMT) 2017 , which started from 28th November 2017 at their Dubai Campus.
The conference aims to bring together the leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results about all aspects of Mechanical Engineering. It also provides the premier interdisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns, practical challenges encountered and the solution adopted in the field of Mechanical Engineering. The Conference will cover various topics of interest like Advanced Manufacturing, Tribology & Corrosion, Surface Engineering, Material Science & Processing, and many more.
At the Inauguration, a warm welcome was extended to the participants by the Convener, Dr. Vincent Shantha Kumar.
Prof. Souvik Bhattacharyya, Vice Chancellor , BITS Pilani addressed the forum with his motivating words and wished them all great knowledge sharing experience in the workshop.
“It’s a privilege to host such an event at BITS Pilani Dubai campus, and it will indeed open new ventures of technical advancement in Mechanical Engineering”, said Dr. R.N Saha, Director , BITS Pilani Dubai Campus.
The Guests were then introduced to the Forum by Dr. M.V.N. Sankaram (HOD Mechanical Department). The inaugural address speech was given by Chief Guest, Dr. Eesa Mohammed Bastaki, President, University of Dubai who spoke about the significance and outcomes of the prominent technical revolutions in history. It was followed by the release of the Abstract Book by Guests of Honour, Mr. Mohammed Abdullah, Managing Director, DIAC and Mr. M. P. Sharma, President, Techmart, Dubai
The Inauguration ceremony was concluded with a Vote of Thanks given by Prof. R Karthikeyan (Co-Convener).
