Biophysics

Biophysics is otherwise known as biological physics, and it is a filed science that applies the ideas and approaches of physics to study the system of biology. It is a rising enterprise universally, driven mainly by the extensive realization of the major contributions made by biological sciences. Biophysicists study organisms at the molecular and cellular level using the approaches and methods of Physics. The field includes the study of a wide range of future academic areas including cell and molecular biology, physical and organic and physical chemistry, molecular and atomic physics, etc.

Who can hire?

Job opportunities exist in both the public and private sectors, particularly in the field of agricultural science, computational biology, biotechnology, forensic science, environmental science, radiation science and medical science.

Professional Career

Biophysicists who choose their careers as college or university faculty members have teaching accountabilities in addition to their research duties. As they progress the ranking from assistant professor or instructor to full professor, they may also take an additional administrative responsibility in their departments. Biophysics discovers how to change microorganisms for bioelectricity (replacing coal and petroleum products) and biofuel (replacing diesel fuel and gasoline).
