Counselor

Counsellors are resolve their personal and relational issues. They help people explore their emotions about various incidents by talking it out with them in a close setting. Their goal is to allow their clients to face challenges, solve problems and make positive changes to their life. To help this process, counsellors are required to be sensitive, patient, non-judgmental and accepting of individual differences.



Academic Entry Requirement

  • Grade 12 –Clear 12th standard in any stream with/without Psychology.
  • Graduation –Pursue B. A. (H) Psychology/Applied Psychology.
  • After Graduation –Pursue Masters in Psychology/Applied Psychology/Counselling Psychology or Pursue PG Diploma in Counselling and Guidance.
  • After post-graduation–Pursue Ph.D. for 2-3 years in the same discipline.

Degree In

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Counselling
  • Master’s Degree in Counselling
  • Doctorate in Counselling

Who can hire?

Counselors can provide services to private and government businesses, as well as small organizations. Some work in hospitalsor community clinics, institutions and schools.
