Sustainable Fashion Challenge 2018
As we know that the fashion industry is the largest polluting industry in the world? The fashion industry is responsible for 10 percent of the carbon footprint of the world as well as it being the second greatest polluter of local freshwater in the world. Some of the main factors that contribute to this industrial caused pollution are the over consumption of fashion items, the use of synthetic fibers, and the agriculture pollution of fashion crops.
With an aim to educate and spread awareness amongst the youth – The Young Vision and The College of Fashion Design, Dubai welcome on 1st November 60 teams from over 27 schools around the Emirates to the Sustainable Fashion Challenge 2018.
